Zack Snyder’s anime ARMY OF THE DEAD Casts Christian Slater and Joe Manganiello

Reported by Variety earlier today, Zack Snyder’s Netflix anime series ‘Army of the Dead‘ has casted Christian Slater (Mr. Robot, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay) and Joe Manganiello (Justice League, Magic Mike) to the spinoff sequel to a later project set to release in 2021.

The anime series is set to be a prequel to a zombie heist film that is set to release next year, which will also be directed by Zack Snyder himself. The main focus of this series seems to be focused on Scott (played by Dave Bautista) and his rescue crew as they discover the cause behind the zombie outbreak and watch the fall of Vegas.

Additional cast for the upcoming anime include Harry Lennix (“The Blacklist”), Anya Chalotra (“The Witcher”), Ross Butler (“13 Reasons Why”), Vanessa Hudgens (“High School Musical”), Jena Malone (“Antebellum”), Yetide Badaki (“American Gods”), Christina Wren (“Man of Steel”), Monica Barbaro (“The Good Cop”), and finally Nolan North (“Star Trek: Lower Decks”)
