After premiering at Sundance in January, NEON has acquired the rights to the psychological horror Shirley. Along with the rights to the film, NEON has also announced a release date for the film. The film is influenced by the classic novel The Haunting of Hill House.
“Tells the story of what happens when a young couple moves in with the famed author, Shirley Jackson, and her Bennington College professor husband, Stanley Hyman. The young couple hopes to start a new life but instead find themselves fodder for a psycho-drama that inspires Shirley’s next novel.”
‘Shirley’ is set to release on June 5th.
