*RUMOR* Michael Keaton to Play Batman in Upcoming Flashpoint Movie

Multiple outlets are reporting Michael Keaton (1989 Batman, Spider-Man Homecoming) is in talks to play Batman in the up coming Flash movie starring Ezra Miller.

While it is uncertain if he would portray the Flashpoint‘s Thomas Wayne or if he will play an older version of Bruce Wayne. It’s curious that this rumor is dropping just days after news was circulating about Jeffrey Dean Morgan being in talks to reprise his role of Thomas Wayne in the DCEU for the Muschietti’s Flashpoint movie.

With that said, THR is reporting their sources are saying Keaton wouldn’t just return for Flash but possibly for several other DC-oriented film projects. The role being envisioned for the veteran actor is akin to the role played by Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something of a mentor or guide or even string puller. Batgirl is one the projects in development that could fall under that win.

Stay tuned to Spoilerverse.com and Bridging the Geekdoms for more on this as it develops.

Flash is releasing in 2022 and will be directed by Andy Muschietti and star Ezra Miller as Barry Allen (Flash).
