Justice League Dark Coming From Bad Robot for HBOmax

Warner Bros. upcoming streaming service adds another DC property to its original content. It was announced that JJ Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot, will develop Justice League Dark for the service.

While production on the show is still a ways off. Justice League Dark is the second DC show that has been announced for HBOmax. The other being Green Lantern.

There is very limited information on either show at this time but it will be interesting to see if the shows will be connected or completely separate from each other or even connected to the film universe. (A man can dream can’t he?)

What is Justice League Dark?

In 2011, DC released a series titled Justice League Dark which included the mystical side of the DC universe. Characters such as Zatana, Constantine, Batman, Detective Chimp, Doctor Fate, Swamp Thing, and more have all been part of the team at one time or another.

For a number of years plans for a film have been in some sort of development with Guillermo del Toro and Doug Liman attached at times. Though no movement has been heard since 2017.

With Bad Robot exclusively dealing with Warner Bros. we will most likely see more DC properties released produced by JJ Abrams and company.

What are your thoughts on this? Will JJ and Bad Robot succeed in creating what is expected from a Justice League Dark universe? Let us know below!
