Deeper Memeing: Everything on the Opposite End of the Burger
Hello Spoiler Country, and welcome to “In Search of Deeper Memeing” where we look at memes. I personally love me some memes, them and cat pics are realistically the only things that keep me on Facebook. For our first installment, we are looking at the “Everything on the Opposite End of the Burger” template
BACKGROUND
So this meme template just sort of came out of nowhere in late October (I believe that the meme illuminati has a stash of meme templates/ideas that they sporadically share, but this is a post about memes not conspiracies). One day there was no posts about what the opposite end of a burger looks like, then all of the sudden BOOM they started appearing. It’s relatable (who hasn’t take a bit of some sort of sandwich only to have everything on the opposite side fall out) and the hard-working meme makers took it from there.
BREAKING IT DOWN
This one should be pretty self-explanatory, you got a line of text that read “me: *bites into burger*”, setting the scene of the person biting into the burger, followed by the line of text “everything on the opposite end of the burger:” which leads to the picture. The picture below the text represents everything on the opposite end of the burger falling off said burger after taking the bite. Some of the memes in them template are more action-y, with a picture of a person/object falling while some are more of a quote with the person in the picture saying a line that ultimately would lead to everything leaving.
LONGEVITY
Since it was not inspired by anything currently going on, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this meme pop back up every now and then (especially when new trailers/movies come out with scenes that would apply to this template).
