ALFRED MOLINA Returning as DOCTOR OCTOPUS!
We can now add Alfred Molina as another piece to the Spiderverse puzzle. THR is reporting their sources confirmed Alfred Molina’s return as Doctor Otto Octavius in the upcoming Marvel/Sony Spider-Man 3. Molina was last seen as Doctor Octopus in 2004’s Spider-Man 2, directed by Sam Raimi.
With this latest casting, the upcoming Spider-Man threequel is looking to be some sort of spectacle. Let’s not forget that just weeks ago it was revealed Jamie Foxx would be reprising, in some capacity, his role as Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2. We also have confirmation that Benedict Cumberbatch joined the cast as Doctor Strange. Finally, rumors have been swirling that both Andrew Garfield and Tobey McGuire would play some sort of role in the film as well.
Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 is still held as one of the greatest superhero films of all time. Seeing Molina return will surely excite fans for the third Tom Holland Spidey film.
