For a number of weeks we have heard Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man, Gatsby) could be involved with either Spider-Man 3 or Doctor Strange 2. The rumors seemed to have started around the time Sam Raimi was tapped to direct the Doctor Strange sequel and began to run rampant after the addition of Jamie Foxx and Benedict Cumberbatch to Spider-Man 3.
Now, coming just a day after we revealed Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool would be making an appearance in the Doctor Strange 2. Small Screen is reporting that Tobey Maguire will be re-teaming with his Spider-Man director, Sam Raimi, in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness). The article explains Maguire will once again suit up as his version of the wallcrawler for the 2022 film in a limited capacity or cameo.
With that, if what we are hearing is true, it appears Doctor Strange will be making stops in different Universes of past Marvel films making it a real possibility we will see more surprises than just Tobey’s Spider-Man and Reynolds’ Deadpool.
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is set to hit cinemas on March 25th, 2022
Are you excited about the inclusion of Maguire’s inclusion? Who else would you want to see pop up in the movie also?
