Mace Windu assembled a strike force of 212 Jedi to invade Geonosis and rescue them. Mace Windu and the strike force went to kick off the Clone Wars, Yoda went to Kamino to commission the Clone Army for battle. The Battle of Geonosis shown that the Jedi would not hesitate to defend the Republic. The Jedi were always the guardians of peace, not battle-hardened commanders.

Getting to the Arena

Getting to the Geonosian Arena was no easy task for the Jedi. Using two TX-130S fighter tanks, Mace Windu and Luminara Unduli fought their way through the Separatists. The Separatist forces contained GATs, AATs, and Hailfire Droids. The Jedi were successful in clearing the way for a convoy of transports carrying the strike team to the arena.
On the Balconies of the Arena
As the Jedi dispersed throughout the arena, Master Windu reached Archduke Poggle the Lesser’s balcony. Dooku would unleash his horde of battle droids and Geonosian warriors onto the Jedi.
Upon infiltrating the arena, the Jedi revealed themselves in small squads. First to appear was Coleman Trebor, a Jedi Master who would not survive the battle. Jedi High Council members Plo Koon and Ki-Adi-Mundi appeared with Aayla Secura. Secura would distinguish herself during the war. Next to appear were the Master Shaak Ti and the Master Luminara Unduli who would both become respected generals in the war. The Jedi Pablo-Jill, who would be killed by General Grievous at the end of the war, was joined by Master Kit Fisto. Barriss Offee appeared with Agen Kolar. Barriss was the Padawan of Luminara Unduli and at the end of the Clone Wars became disillusioned with the Jedi Order in the war. Master Kolar was one of the four Jedi Masters killed by Darth Sidious when the during the arrest. Bultar Swan was the last Jedi to appear on the balconies.
On the Arena Floor
The Separatists’ droid army swarmed into the arena, filling the battleground with blaster fire, killing many of the less skilled Jedi.
When the task force had reached the arena floor, Nicanas Tassu and Sephjet Josall tossed lightsabers to the unarmed Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Tassu or Josall would have likely died on Geonosis. Another who fought on the balconies of the arena was Sar Labooda. Labooda was the sister of Depa Billaba, but unlike her sister, she didn’t survive the battle. Sarissa Jeng would be killed in battle.
During the battle, Master Coleman Trebor attempted to engage Dooku. Bounty Hunter Jango Fett shot down Trebor. Trebor fell to his death from Poggle the Lesser’s viewing box.
Fett later attempted to fight Master Mace Windu. His jetpack was damaged when he was attacked by the reek. Not knowing the damage, Windu beheaded the bounty hunter.
Background Fights
A lot fighting happened in the background of the arena. Master Ekim Ryelli lost three fingers and his Padawan Lumas Etima. The battle scarred him. This lead to him becoming an archeologist. Agen Kolar joined his Padawan Tan Yuster, but it wasn’t enough to save him. Fi’Ek Sirch and Que-Mars Redath-Gom were two Jedi that fought in the battle. The two most likely died during the battle. Other Jedi were Ichi-Tan Micoda, Selig Kenjenn, and Roan Shryne. Micoda was overwhelmed and killed. Shryne went on to fight in the war.
The End of Their Mission
The thirteen Jedi and Senator Amidala were surrounded by battle droids. They were Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Agen Kolar, Luminara Unduli, Bultar Swan, Shaak Ti, Kit Fisto, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and High Council Member Saesee Tiin.
