Variety is reporting that since The Boys season 2 is doing so well (89% better than season 1, which is insane) they are fast tracking a new show based in a college for all those horny angsty Supes. This comes as no surprise since season 2 is incredible and each episode keeps one upping the previous one. And all there little jabs at Batman v Superman are just so great.
I just hope that the fast tracking of this new show doesn’t lead to it feeling UN-developed. One of the best parts about The Boys is you feel like this is a world that exists, one that would suck to live in, but the world has it’s own life blood. Granted they have the world of this show to build on, and I’m curious how they will integrate the shows together.
The spinoff is set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (or “supes”) that is run by Vought International. It is described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire and raunch of “The Boys.”Pulled from the Variety article
