Live Action ASSASSIN’S CREED Series Set for NETFLIX

It is being reported that Netflix is developing a Live-Action Assassin’s Creed series for their streaming platform. Head of Television for Ubisoft, Jason Altman and Director of Television for Ubisoft, Danielle Kreinik are set to serve as executive producers. Currently the search for a showrunner is in process.

Along with the live-action series an agreement has also been reached to development an animated and anime series creating a universe of the successful video game franchise for the streaming service.

Assassin’s Creed is a video game series from Ubisoft. The game is based on the idea that a league of Assassins has been part of history seemingly since the dawn of time. An aspect of the franchise is the main character, a descendant of an ancient Assassin, is connected to a machine called the Animus to uncover the mysteries of these Assassins. Using this machine allows the user to essentially transport back in time within memories passed down generation to generation.

Most recently a film adaptation released in 2016 starring Michael Fassbender. The film was a critical and financial bomb.
