Is Ryan Reynolds coming back as Green Lantern?

It’s been reported that Ryan Reynolds has in fact been approached by Warner Bros. to play Green Lantern in an upcoming film. Follow the link for more on the story.

Over on LightCast Pod Taylor Murphy from The Cultured Nerd sort of confirmed the rumors that Ryan Reynolds has indeed been approached to play Green Lantern once again.

“From what I have been hearing it doesn’t line up… I’m not disagreeing that Ryan Reynolds is coming back. Because I have also heard from additional channels is he is coming back.”

Now, whether it is for the upcoming Zack Snyder’s Justice League or something else is what is in question.

“What I have heard, from the people I know at Snyder camp is that Zack already had his own Green Lantern and that he had already filmed some stuff. Green Lantern wise…”

Let’s not forget that recently news dropped of Michael Keaton being approached to reprise his role as Batman in the upcoming Flash movie. It’s also unlikely that Snyder, who has teased on multiple occasions that Green Lantern was in his Justice League film, would recast the role and insert Reynolds into his new cut of the movie. So could this mean he might show up in the Flash film as well?

I guess we will all have to wait and see.
