Is Rian Johnson’s Star Wars Trilogy Happening?
Since Richard Marquand added Ewoks to Return of the Jedi there has not been a more divisive director in the Star Wars franchise as Rian Johnson. When news came out shortly before the release of The Last Jedi that Johnson would be creating a new trilogy fans were truly excited. Not long after Episode VIII’s release though it was as if millions of voices cried out in terror of the notion.
Recently I posted an article about all the upcoming Star Wars content, one of which was Rian Johnson’s announced trilogy. Now, as you can see in the video below, his trilogy may not be happening any longer.

When asked when he expects to walk into the Star Wars universe again his answer is a bit surprising.
“Well we’ll see. I’m still talking to Lucasfilm, they’re figuring out what they’re doing and we’ll see what happens. But I’d be thrilled if it happens, and I’m working on my own stuff too.”
Rian Johnson
Honestly, with how divisive his film has been no one should be too shocked about this development.
So what do you think, should we expect to ever see a Rian Johnson Star Wars trilogy? Let us know in the comments.
