CHIP ‘n DALE RESCUE RANGERS Film in the Works

Kids of the 90’s REJOICE! One of the most beloved animated shows on the last 30 years is making a return. A film adaption of Disney’s Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers is currently in the works with director Akiva Schaffer (Lonely Island) and writers Dan Gregor (Dolittle) and Doug Mand (Dolittle). With that, frequent Zack Snyder collaborator, Larry Fong (Sucker Punch, Watchman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) will also be joining the movie as the Director of Photography.

The film will be a live-action/animated hybrid similar to that of Sonic the Hedgehog and we are hearing that the original cast of Tress McNeille, Corey Burton and Jim Cummings will be reprising their roles

With production struggling to pick up steam over the last year it seems things are finally moving forward. And while an exact release date is not yet known, rumors suggest that a 2022 release on Disney+ is in the cards.

For fans of the show and voice actor Jim Cummings head on over to the Spoiler Country podcast to hear an AMAZING interview with the man himself here.
