Army Of Thieves | Movie Review

Army of Thieves is a prequel to Zack Snyder’s zombie movie Army of the dead and is directed and starred by Matthias Schweighoefer. Matthias reprises his role of Dieter, last seen in Army of the Dead, where he is recruited by a mysterious woman who leads a gang of bank thieves for three separate heists.

Review

The movie definitely is what it wanted to be. Really fun (with heart), zombie-less, heist movie set in Europe. The cast is brilliant. The action is great, is really well shot and Matthias nails it as the director as well.

The movie made Dieter’s character even more likeable. The character’s self aware humor is awesome. Easily one of the most rewatchable movies of the year!

There are still many surprises in the movie as Dieter and his crew plan to unlock 3/4 safes in Wagner’s ring cycle. Dieter gets to the fourth one in Army Of The Dead.

If you want a really fun time, you should watch this movie I would rate it 8/10 overall.
