Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Netflix’s and Zack Snyder’s upcoming zombie heist movie, Army of the Dead, will release in the summer of 2021. According to the report it will coincide with the official illustrated companion book titled, Army of the Dead: Making of the Film, which will off a behind the scenes look of the characters, locations, and zombies.
Snyder has hinted at still working on the film as recently as mid-November making this news about it hitting in Summer 2021 no surprise. But, in typical fashion Netflix has been hush on any information regarding their movie and an official announcement should come no sooner than first quarter of the new year or a month or two before release.
For those unaware, the film follows a group of mercenaries who wade into the post-apocalyptic landscape of Las Vegas to pull off a heist. The film has an impressive cast which includes Ana de la Reguera, Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Garret Dillahunt, Hiroyuki Sanada, Matthias Schweighöfer, Omari Hardwick, Raul Castillo, and Tig Notaro.
Also in production is an anime prequel with both Snyder and DC Animated wiz, Jay Oliva, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.
