The Last of Us TV Show Announced!

Naughty Dog has teamed with HBO to create a television series The Last of Us! Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin will lead the project alongside Naughty Dog’s own Neil Druckmann. Druckmann will help write and executive produce the series. Naughty Dog President Evan Wells and Sony’s PlayStation Productions are also involved in adapting the game.

The show will follow the events of the first game. A gray-haired survivor Joel is tasked with smuggling teenage Ellie out of a quarantine zone. As a result, the two quickly team up to fight the Infected.

Naughty Dog games over the years have focused on telling mature stories. Mazin and HBO won’t have to work as hard to translate the TLoU narrative into something non-gamers can appreciate.
